Around the world in eighty days is a travel-adventure novel by French author Jules Verne. Published in 1872, The novel tells the story of Phileas Fogg, who takes up a wager and attempts to circumnavigate the world in 80 days. Fogg and his valet, Passe-partout, begin their journey and encounter numerous adventures along the way.
