There he meets two new races of people: the playful, child-like Eloi, who spend there days in leisure and the Morlocks, a subterranean group who are the actual producers of resources and the superior species that prey on the Eloi.The future he sees has frozen in the same stage of evolution and has no desire to grow or change.
